We ended up here for lunch as we had just finished wandering round the Maritime Museum, and we wanted a light lunch It is right beside the museum, and has views over the harbour. On a warm November lunchtime looked very inviting. And it lived up to that impression. We found ourselves a nice table - it does not seem to be the sort of place that shows you to a table We then waited for a considerable length of time, 20 minutes before we were offered a menu.
After that the place clicked into action, our beers arrived reasonably quickly, and the pizza sone 20 minutes later The slowness of the service did not worry me. as I was not in a hurry. If I had been tight on time, I think I would have been annoyed at the delays The seafood pizza was certainly worth waiting for; it was very, very good. To pay, it is a do-it-yourself process, you just go to the pay desk inside, tell them your table number (it's written on the table) and that is it I did notice when paying that their cold cabinet with desserts looked very tempting, and I think I would have been tempted if I had not taken so long to get to this point
My conclusion is that our lunch was fine for us, but I can see why many reviewers found it a less than pleasant experience with a long wait and grumpy staff
