We left Meroy, on the main road, and walked some way along a cart track, before branching off through the undergrowth. The purpose of this walk is to gain the escarpment edge, and enjoy the view down over La Peral. It was indeed a lovely view
The horses that we passed along the way are a common sight in this part of the world. They are bred for meat.
