La Peral

We arrived at La Peral on Sat 3rd Jul and stayed for 10 nights. It was a 9 hour drive there in one go. But returning we had a couple of nights at Avila to break the journey

This was the same thing that we did last year with Alfredo & Jemena. And as we were happy again, we booked for next year as we left.

Our selection of walks was

• Walk 1 - Castro a walk we did last year
• Walk 2 - Cornon leading to views over La Peral
• Walk 3 - Robledo up through a chestnut forest to a brana
• Walk 4 - Vega a circular walk, past the finca with statues of Guardia
• Walk 5 - Lagos last years walk, this year a little further and in glorious weather
• Walk 6 - La Peral the local walk, but more "off road" this year
• Walk 7 - Mumian last years walk to a brana
• Walk 8 - La Cueta one way across country
• Walk 9 - Folk Museum three traditional Somiedo houses "preserved" as a museum
