After an early breakfast, we went ashore by zodiac to Maniitsoq where Hannah, one of the expedition team, guided us on a walk along the coastline and then through a tunnel to the local museum. This was a pleasant walk at a reasonable pace with stops when she told us lots of interesting facts about Greenland and the museum .

The museum was small, and therefore much more interesting for me. The local cemetery beside it was picturesque . We then wandered back by ourselves through the unattractive town to the zodiacs. Every house was built on the rocks and therefore there were lots of steep staircases everywhere. The town had a population of 3000 . Back on board by 11
I had a swim whilst all the crew were having a safety drill alongside the pool. Once again, I really enjoyed the Jacuzzi afterwards. We had lunch in the restaurant and then I had a siesta before being woken up by Werner, The assistant expedition leader , phoning David about his complaint on the charging for boots

We then enjoyed a coffee before going to the briefing at 2 pm which dealt with the next days activities. The ship had repositioned itself up the Sermilinnguaq Fjord whilst we were having lunch and we went to shore at the glacier lake there at 3:30. This was very picture with lots of icebergs around. We just got back to the ship in time to sneak in to afternoon tea where we ordered the full tower for the first time, but did not eat all of it!

The panorama lounge was stolen from us both at 6:30 when Chloe hosted trivia there and yet again at 9:30 when she hosted bingo and got 17 punters for this. What has an expedition cruise become? But we enjoyed a non-alcoholic cocktail up in the observation lounge , before dinner but brought our drinks down to the cabin after dinner as Chris could not abide the bingo.
