Rome - in a day

Tuscany

Then there was a day trip to Rome by train - not without its adventures. It was only a few hours by train, and it saved the hassle of driving and parking in Rome, not one of my favourite cities for driving in. We bought the open top bus day ticket and off we went. The Vatican, followed by a long queue to get into the Sistine Chapel. After that it was the Trevi Fountain, the Coliseum and the rest of the tourist trail. You can pack a lot in during the course of a day.

And back to Tuscany at Sant Antonio . We were not sure whether the train did stop at intermediate stops like the one we wanted, or whether it ploughed directly to Munich, in the event it did stop for us.
