Winchester and London

Fiona's house was the beginning and end of our week in London. Toad had his MOT in Winchester, and we left him there while we took the train to London and took an apartment at Templeton Place for a week. A few yards from Earls Court Tube Station
A well done up modern apartment, let down by problems in getting in on Sunday afternoon - an unacceptably large number of apartments expect you to give them an exact arrival time, and someone is only there to let you in at that time. The apartment itself only lacked a decent sized fridge. Hazel and Ed came for dinner one night. We were pretty much full time on archives, but on the last day ..
..we took a stroll round Kensington Gardens, past the over-priced Lady Di water memorial, and the golden brooding figure of Prince Albert on his memorial.

And this is where the work was done. While I toiled in The National Archives at Kew ...Chris disturbed the tranquility of custodians of the LMA and the Essex Record Office. And met up with her cousins and old school friend, not to mention a couple of old teachers.
