Know your enemy
This is me. Brought up in Belfast in Northern Ireland, Inchmarlo and Campbell College, I went to university in England (Pembroke College, Oxford), married, and settled in England
After taking a degree in Physics, I went into marketing with Lever Brothers as a marketing trainee and later brand manager. This was followed by a spell as a brand manager at Johnson Wax, before I was head hunted by Philip Morris. I worked in their internation headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, where our two children, Stephen and Joanna were born. After a short spell with Philip Morris in Germany, I returned to the UK as Marketing Director.
A few years later we started our own business. First buying Springwells in Steyning, Sussex, followed by Kirkby Fleetham Hall in North Yorkshire, Chadlington Manor in Oxfordshire, before our final hotel venture at Corisande Manor in Cornwall.
We now have a house in Moraira, Spain and in Malta
