Arrived in the Basque Country, in the Hotel Iraragorri in Galdakao after four plus hours on the road. I had chosen this hotel a it was a reasonable distnce from La Peral, and put us within a manageable drive of Amboise, our next stop
A pleasantt building. But in much more of a built up area than I had expected from their write ups. A large room with very large antique furniture but atrocious lighting. The floor creaked !
We went for a walk around the nearby railway. Then sat outside with a bottle of white wine before an excellent dinner with. A pleasant waitress

We had a. very civilized, served, breakfast, then set off for France at 9,15. Chris found the seven hour journey somewhat boring due to her hazy vision.
