Barbados

We were booked at Yellow Bird Hotel which claimed to be a chic and intimate boutique hotel located in St. Lawrence Gap, Barbados, an area popular with visitors and locals for its fine restaurants, diverse accommodation and lively nightlife. I booked a Deluxe Studio with Sea view without breakfast (breakfast was $16 ). In fact we ended up with a free breakfast - our room was not ready when we arrived around 16.00, and we had to wait a fair time to get into the room - the hotel offered a free breakfast to make up for the inconvenience

We had a pleasant ground floor room, and went for a walk around St Lawrence Gap in the evening

Next day, around the hotel in the morning, before a taxi to the cruise port. The boarding was, as usual, chaotic, as all the buses from Silversea hotels arrived at the same time. Happily we got there 2 minutes before the buses. But even so, with Covid regulations, all passengers had to be checked on the quay before boarding. And there were about 6 different stations to navigate, passport, covid vaccination certs, antigen test, cruise ticket, US online visa, etc. So it took ages to get through that lot, before they graciously allowed us to board
