The Grave of Peggie "wife of Fletcher Christian who died 12 May 1884 aged 64"
Born on Pitcairn in 1815, Peggie (usually spelt Peggy in the literature) was the fifth of the six children of Thursday October Christian b. 1790 and granddaughter of Fletcher Christian. In October 1829 she married Daniel McCoy, the grandson of two of the original mutineers William McCoy on his father's side and Matthew Quintal on his mother's.
In November 1832 back on Pitcairn Peggy married her first cousin the twenty year old Fletcher Christian, second of the eight children of Charles Christian, Thursday October Christian's younger brother and son of the first Fletcher Christian. The marriage produced five sons and five daughters.
So Fletcher Christian, the mutineer had two sons, Thursday October Christian (one of whose children was Peggie) and Charles Christain (on of whose sons was Fletcher Junior) . Fletcher Junior and Peggie married and had 5 sons and 5 daughters. Fletcher junior born 1812, died in 1852 on Pitcairn
