Disney 1988

In the children's summer holidays, we went again to Disney in Florida & this time visited the adjoining Epcot centre as well, plus a dolphin show, Wet and Wild, a Baseball Training Camp, and rather stupidly a canoe ride down an alligator infested river - where the advice given to us was only to swim where there was a sandy bottom so that you could see the legatos if they came after you.

Epcot I thought was a strange place. It had a large lake with national pavilions round it representing a couple of dozen international countries. The idea seemed to be that an American would not need to visit, say, Europe, if they had seen UK, France and Germany's pavilions at Epcot. I thought that the British pavilion was particularly bad - presumably the UK government did not have a big budget to spend on it.
